The child abuse investigation surrounding the Jolie-Pitt family is
said to have been expanded to look at the entire family, including Angelina , reports claim.
TMZ
also claims that the the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family
Services are now looking at other incidents, as well as the initial
plane incident which sparked the claims against Brad regarding Maddox.
The
website says the probe is set to look at " interactions between Brad
and Angelina which were allegedly witnessed by 1 or more of their 6
kids."
A source, said to be close to Angelina, also claimed that an alleged
meeting between Brad and Maddox last weekend ended early "because Maddox
didn't want to be there".
The FBI had been looking into allegations that surfaced when Brad and wife Angelina split last month.
The
claims centred on reports that the Oscar-winning star was “screaming”
and “ranting” at their six children on a private jet from France to the
US.

Man missing for 20 years, found tied to bed in basement
A 36-year-old Brazilian man who
was allegedly tied to a bed by his father and step-mother in the
basement of their home for 20 years was freed on Monday by policemen.
Armando de Andrade was accidentally discovered while the police were searching homes for members of a drug gang.
Armando who was said to have
disappeared when he was 16, was reportedly tied to a bed in a tiny,
windowless room of their house in Sao Paulo, but neighbours were told he
had travelled.
According
to witnesses, he was found with ‘enormous’ toenails and fingernails and a
long beard which had grown to his knees, while police officers who
found him described him as ‘malnourished’.
The police believe he lived in
virtual darkness for two decades in a room without light fittings, while
the floor was reportedly covered in human faeces.
Police chief, Celso Marchiori, said,
“He got up, very impaired and didn’t speak a word. We took him outside
and he still didn’t say anything. We didn’t know if he was scared or
drugged.“He wasn’t able to identify us as police officers. We called for help and he was taken straight to hospital.
“It’s difficult to believe he was in that place for 20 years. It’s a very insanitary place, he wouldn’t have survived. There’s no light at all.”
Neighbours in the Guarulhos
district of Sao Paulo, southeast Brazil said Armando was a normal
16-year-old, who liked skateboarding and playing the guitar, when he
suddenly disappeared.
They said his family always claimed he had moved to another part of Brazil and was ‘doing well’.
Armando’s childhood friend,
Ederson Silva, said, “Whenever we asked about him they always said the
same thing, he’s living in the northeast, he’s well, he’s working, he’s
building his family there. That’s all they said to us.”
Armando’s father, Amancio de Andrade, has denied holding him
captive, claiming his son left home when he was 18, returned last week,
and asked him to lock him in the room to help him ‘get clean’ from drug
addiction. The father said, “He’s a grown man. He never got in touch. Then last week I opened my door and he was there. I gave him food and let him stay in the basement room. He asked me to lock the door so he couldn’t get out.”
Bruno Mars says Adele was a ‘diva’ in the studio
Bruno Mars has detailed working with Adele, saying that the star acted like a “diva” in the studio at first.
Mars co-wrote Adele’s song ‘All I Ask’, which featured on last year’s massive-selling ’25’. Speaking on New York radio show Cubby & Carolina Bermudez In The Morning, the US singer described his first impressions of Adele.
“She walks into the studio, she’s got all this
attitude, she’s a diva, she’s like, ‘I don’t want to do this. I don’t
like that,'” he remembered.
“And then as soon as we hit a couple chords that she liked, we started rolling, and that’s where we got that song from”.
“She’s incredible,”
Mars went on to say. “There was a moment when she was singing in the
booth, and I’m not exaggerating at all and the water was vibrating…like
you know that scene in Jurassic Park. She’s got some pipes on her, and she’s just a superstar.”
Mars also said that he would be open to performing
the song live with Adele: “I don’t know what she’s waiting on, man. I’m
like come on Adele, like, send an email, let me know!”
Adele recently said that her decision to quit smoking has made her voice “weaker”.
“The people with the best voices, they always smoke,” she said. “I’ve
given up smoking and I’m convinced that’s made my voice weaker.”
“Bruno [Mars] smokes like an old woman,” she added. My make-up artist
will stink after having a fag. I had never noticed it before.”
’25’ has gone diamond
in the US. Adele’s third LP has shifted 10 million certified units in
America alone since its release in November 2015. The album’s lead
single ‘Hello’ has also been certified as seven-time Platinum.
Nigeria deports 53 illegal immigrants
The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service said on
Wednesday that 53 illegal immigrants have been repatriated to Niger
Republic.
Mrs Tamuno Oyedeji, Comptroller of Immigration Service in the state disclosed this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna.
Adededji said the state government provided vehicles for the transportation of the illegal immigrants to the border post at Jibia in Katsina state.
“We successfully handed them over to the Niger Republic Immigration officers at the border post,’’ she said.
Adedeji said that the immigrants were repatriated because their presents constitute security threats in the state.
She said that most of the illegal immigrants possess expired documents, while others have no legal documents to back their legitimate stay in the country.
The comptroller said that the command has taken proactive security measures to ensure only immigrants with proper documents are allowed into the country through Babana border with Benin Republic.

Chibok Girls Release: President Buhari Renews Hope
“If any Nigerian or member of the international community
had doubts about the sincerity and commitment of President Muhammadu
Buhari to the rescue of our precious daughters abducted by Boko Haram
insurgents at Government Secondary School, Chibok on April 14, 2014, the
rescue of all other abducted Nigerians and very importantly, his
sincerity in working towards ending the Boko Haram insurgency, such
doubts must by now be laid to rest.” — Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno
State
These comments by Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim
Shettima have captured the electrified mood of celebrations in Nigeria
and the International community over the release of 21 Chibok
schoolgirls captured by Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) on April 14, 2014.
Based on painstaking negotiations anchored by the International Red
Cross and the Swiss Government, these girls were released by their
captors in the town of Banki on the fringes of Nigeria’s border with
Cameroon.
In Nigeria’s history, the nation has never lived with
prolonged emotional trauma, which glued both friends and foes like the
incident of the abduction of the 276 school girls in Chibok imposed on
the nation. It triggered local and international outrage. World leaders
took turns to renounce the act of the terrorists as barbaric and
uncivilized.
Helplessness of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN)
under the then President Goodluck Jonathan, which showed more interest
in his re-election campaigns exacerbated the tension. The birth of
#BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) campaigners led by Mrs. Obi Ezekwesili,
ignited fresh trouble for the government which was scolded daily for
refusal to initiate action for their release.
Centrally, there were other issues, but President
Muhammedu Buhari as presidential candidate of the APC in the 2015
general elections premised his campaigns on two main cardinal issues. He
spoke vibrantly and angrily about ending Boko Haram insurgency and
ensure the release of the abducted Chibok girls as well as ridding
Nigeria of her pervasive and debilitating corruption.
Nigerians trusted him and overwhelmingly voted him into
power. In power, President Buhari has made no pretensions about the
issue of defeating BHTs and securing the release of the Chibok girls and
the launch of a deafening anti-graft war.
Thus, Buhari started with the re-organization of the
Nigerian Military High Command; procurement of the arms and ammunitions,
prompt payment of allowances of troops in the battle front to boost
their morale and reaching out to the international community to plead
their assistance to battle terrorism.
The coming on board of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen.
Tukur Buratai among other Service Chiefs renewed fresh songs on ending
the Boko Haram insurgency. Specifically, Buratai promised to end
insurgency in the Northeast by December 2015. Nigerians waited
doubtfully because other Service Chiefs had similarly bragged in the
past, but it came to naught.
But the new face of leadership of the Nigerian military had
proven to be committedly different. By the December 2015 deadline the
COAS promised, tales of BHTs raids of villages, communities and bombing
of cities in the North turned into the narratives of terrorists fleeing,
killed in combat, captured or surrendering to Nigerian military.
Reclaimed territories from BHTs began to experience normalcy and
deserted communities breathed fresh air.
President Buhari announced to the congregation of the last
United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York that Nigeria has
substantially decimated BHTs. The President further disclosed that their
capacity to freely launch unbridled attacks on targeted locations has
been diminished to occasional attacks on soft targets.
It gladdens the heart that President Buhari has kept faith
with this campaign covenant with Nigerians by defeating Boko Haram
insurgency. His cake has been iced with the gradual release of the
Chibok girls from the claws of terrorists. It has raised a strong hope
that the remaining more than 100 of the Chibok girls still in their
captivity are nearer liberation too, as hinted by Buhari in Germany
thus;
“In getting these 21 out, we hope we will get enough intelligence to go about securing the rest of them.”
What is indispensable in the release of the Chibok girls
and the over 20, 000 Boko Haram abductees the Nigerian military has
secured freedom at intervals is testimony of a hard working Nigerian
military. It has worked in conjunction with the Multi-National Joint
Task Force (MNJTF) and the complementary roles of the Civilian Joint
Task Force (CJTF) to deflate the once enigmatic and agile terrorists
from their safe enclaves in the Northeast.
However, it must be borne in mind that a blood thirsty
beast, who is armed to the teeth, would not just voluntarily quit his
trade for the fun of it or because he has become a saint; repented upon
his sudden discovery of God Almighty and His love. He relapses because
of knowledge of his constant haunting by a superior power, potent enough
to extinguish him and his generation.
The Nigerian army under Buratai has been very instrumental
to instilling this psychology fear into the remnants of BHTs, which
accounts for their discovery of the futility in the continued caging of
the abductees. Other arms of the military also performed wonderful
roles.
But soldiers consistently and exceptionally bore the brunt.
They chased terrorists on foot, combat motorbikes and vehicles. They
implanted themselves in communities for surveillance, had their command
barracks attacked, detonated terrorists bombs, spent nights and days in
forests and on roads at checkpoints, braved sun and rain as well as
sacrificed their dear lives in the battle against insurgency.
Accordingly, Nigerian soldiers and other arms of the
military deserve unrestrained respect and encouragement to keep the
spirit alive. Buratai thinks and works round the clock on how best to
sustain the tempo of triumph over insurgency.
Last month, Buratai mulled with the idea of launching
another phase of the battle against terrorists he code named “OPERATION
RESCUE FINALE,” designed to rescue every Nigerian still in the captivity
of BHTs. These are rays of positive hope.
Dispassionately, Nigerian soldiers have offered themselves
as a major springboard for this cause and deserve encouragement. The
enormity of their sacrifice to terror war cannot be quantified. And not
only in Nigeria, but the international community has lauded their
priceless contributions to the liberation of an endangered nation. As
the world appreciates their gallantry, let it serve as a stimulus to
greater performance and enliven their resolve to do more for the
country.
Also, families of the Chibok girls still held in detention
should be consoled by President Buhari’s assurances that the return of
the 21 girls would definitely lead to the return of the rest still in
captivity.

Rapper Nicki Minaj is considering giving up the microphone to become a full-time actress after three more albums.
The Super Bass hitmaker, who studied performing arts in school, made her feature film debut as the voice of Steffie in 2012's Ice Age: Continental Drift, and went on to appear in 2014 romantic comedy The Other Woman, as the outspoken assistant of Cameron Diaz's character.
She further honed her comedy chops in this summer's (16) release, Barbershop: The Next Cut, and Nicki admits she wouldn't be opposed to making acting her main gig once she's achieved her music goals.
"I at least want to do three more albums," she told the November (16) issue of Marie Claire magazine. "If I can do that, I'll feel complete...
"One day, when I start getting a couple gray hairs, maybe it will all be only acting. I just never know... I've kind of become the poster child for doing the things that no one expects."
Another goal Nicki has previously addressed is settling down and starting a family, and the hip-hop star, who is dating fellow rapper Meek Mill, confesses she has already started to change her way of thinking to ensure she is mature enough to one day have a child.
She reveals experiencing a "weird epiphany" while on tour in Australia in 2012 prompted her to start appreciating every moment of her life.
"For the first time, I allowed myself to feel proud of where music had gotten me, and I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude," Nicki recalled. "You feel the need to pay it forward, which starts with analysing yourself with a true desire to grow."
She continued, "I was praying every day, 'You know what, Lord? I want to be a mum one day, and I want to start becoming the woman who I want to parent my child.' I wanted all of the feelings of entitlement to leave me... I didn't want to become a person who wasn't enjoying the moment."
Nicki, who is currently working on the follow-up to 2014's The Pinkprint album, is inching ever closer to marriage. She has been dating Meek since early 2015, and he previously promised to gift his girlfriend with three rings, with the third being the one he proposes with.
She has since received two of the diamond studded jewels, so it appears it's only a matter of time before the couple becomes engaged.

Apparently, a total of 13 items were taken
from her, including her second engagement ring from husband Kanye West, a
20-carat that has the word ‘Adidas’ engraved, that is valued at £3.2
million alone.
A jewellery insurance specialist told the outlet that the 35 year old reality TV star’s claim would be “difficult, both to investigate and to resolve” because of the high value of the items taken and that replacements of “like kind and quality” will be hard to find.

The night porter at the luxury apartment block
where the robbery occurred, who claims he was tricked into opening the
door to the perpetrators but credits himself with his calmness in
keeping both himself and Kim alive, has since fallen under police
suspicion amid speculation that it was an inside job, with investigators

Khloe Kardashian hides behind shades as she's flanked by three huge security guards at LAX
Her sister Kim Kardashian begged armed robbers to spare her life
after they burst into her Paris apartment, so it's no surprise Khloe has
also upped her security.
The US beauty, who has returned to Instagram to promote her new denim range, was pictured at LAX flanked by three burly security guards and hiding behind a pair of over-sized shades.
She was dressed in a slouchy orange and black hoody with tight jeans and stylish black ankle boots for her trip.
The star did not look pleased as she was met by a sea of flashbulbs and pouted with her long blonde hair hanging down in waves.
Since the robbery, the family have scaled back public appearances and put filming on hold for Keeping Up With The Kardashians , as they continue to support the TV beauty, who is reportedly bursting into tears "every few minutes" as she relives the ordeal.
"Kim's well-being is our core focus right now. No decision has been made as to when production will resume," a spokesperson for E! told Variety.

Osinbajo says corruption under PDP made Boko Haram stronger
The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has blamed failure of the
immediate past government to provide equipment and supplies to the
military for the spread of Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East
He made the statement on Thursday at the graduation of Cadets of 63rd Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna.
Osinbajo, who was the special guest at the graduation, said that the failure resulted to the death of over 20, 000 people with over two million displaced and more than 75, 000 children orphaned.
He expressed regret that several billions of dollars meant for procurement of arms and ammunition to prosecute the war were cornered by few persons.
“This has left the region with one of the worst humanitarian crisis,’’ he added.
The VP commended the military for defeating the terrorists and for the sacrifices it made to defend the nation.
He said that the fastest way for Nigeria to get out of the current recession was for militant groups in the Niger Delta to stop bombing oil pipelines.
He said that the activities of the militants had adversely affected crude oil output which had dropped from 2.2 million barrels per day to below 1 million barrels per day.
Osinbajo said the destruction had also affected the revenue accruing to the country by 60 per cent.
While comparing the 2008/2009 recession in United States with Nigeria’s, the VP said Nigeria’s recession was caused by massive corruption, lack of saving and destruction of oil pipelines.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 133 cadets, including 17 female cadets, were for the first time awarded first degree certificates in various discipline at the occasion.
One hundred and twenty seven (127) cadets were awarded master’s degree while 14 cadets bagged doctorate degree.
Three prominent Nigerians, Prof. Grace Alele-Willaims, former Vice Chancellor, Uniben; Maj.-Gen. Paul Tarfa (rtd), ex-military Administrator of Old Oyo state and business mongul, Dr Innocent Chukwuma, were conferred with honorary doctorate degree. (NAN)

Nigerian senators reject ‘special status’ bill for Lagos
There was commotion in the Senate, yesterday, over a bill sponsored
by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, seeking special status for Lagos State in view
of its strategic socio-economic significance to the country.
Titled “A bill for an act to make provisions for Federal Grants to Lagos State in recognition of its strategic socio-economic significance and other connected purposes”, the bill was read for the second time where her colleagues overwhelmingly voted against it.
Senators, predominantly drawn from the North, South-east and South-south led the offensive against the bill.
The bill’s fate was sealed based on Senator Olusola Adeyeye’s position on the issue.
Senate Chief Whip, Adeyeye accused some former northern governors, who are now lawmakers, of passing laws to stop the sale and consumption of alcohol.
He had also argued that such states should, therefore, not benefit from Value Added Taxes (VAT) paid by alcohol consumers in states like Lagos.
He equally made a case that like oil-producing states, Lagos should get 13 percent from taxes paid into the Federation Account.
“I don’t even believe that one percent is enough for Lagos State. But, we have to be fair to Lagos State. We must not kill the chicken that lays the golden eggs. We have a governor here who made a law that alcohol should be banned in his state.
“But the state where such a law was made should not benefit from VAT got from sale of alcohol in states where it is not banned. States who contribute should get 13 of VAT like oil producing states,” he had argued.
While his colleagues were yet to recover from his first position, Adeyeye released another salvo when he said; “the FCT is a rotten pampered child.”
At this point, the chamber became rowdy, but, Adeyeye continued and added; “in Abuja, we do not pay taxes and Nigerians subsidise everything here. I am serious. In Asokoro and other places, people do not pay taxes.”
For about 10 minutes, Ekweremadu tried to calm angry lawmakers who were, by now, engaged in a shouting match. To restore order, Ekweremadu invoked a rarely used parliamentary protocol by standing up to get the chamber’s attention. He did as the chamber went quiet.
Earlier, sponsor of the bill, Senator Tinubu tried to rally her colleagues to support the bill when she said “Lagos is of a strategic, social, economic significance as the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria. Today, Lagos serves as the commercial capital of Nigeria and its major nerve centre. The strategic importance of Lagos is inherent in several sectors of the economy. Available statistics indicate that six out of 10 international passengers arrive in Lagos, while eight out of 10 depart from Lagos. This shows that Lagos is the window through which visitors travel in and out of Nigeria.”
The Lagos senator was yet to conclude when lawmakers scrambled to speak on the bill.
Senator Aliyu Wammako from Sokoto State said the timing of the bill was wrong and justified his position by saying that “many states were unable to pay workers’ salaries and meet other financial obligations, hence, the passage of the bill was wrong. I stand against this bill; if it is passed, it will make other states poorer and Lagos richer.
Senator Hope Uzodima from Imo State said: “If we approve a bill like this, states like Zamfara, Imo, Enugu and others will begin to ask for support and assistance. I think we should look at the assets in Lagos State and see how the Federal Government can assist Lagos state to augment what it is doing.”
Speaking in favour of the bill, Senator Solomon Adeola from Lagos State said: “Almost every tribe in this country is represented in Lagos State. The Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba are beneficiaries. I know that the economic situation in Nigeria calls for caution. But this bill is not Lagos as a state, but for the people living there. Very soon, Lagos will be recognised as a mega city. But for us to get that status, we need to put certain things in place.”
Barnabas Gemade from Benue State supported the bill. He said: “In my opinion, Lagos has been pushed to a point. Therefore, demanding for a contribution of one percent is not too much.”
Senate Minority Whip, Senator Philip Aduda said he would support the bill “on the condition that what will be given to Lagos State should be given to other states like the FCT. Some special allocations should be given to FCT because it is over stretched and government needs to intervene. In the FCT, we have riverine areas.”
Former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu argued that passage of the bill would be unconstitutional and urged his colleagues to oppose it.
Senator James Manager from Delta State, raised a point of order.
“From the onset, I am in full support of this bill, but, there is a constitutional problem. Section 164 (1) makes it clear. It states that the federation may give grants to states or local governments to supplement the revenues as maybe prescribed by the National Assembly.
“I want to say from experience, different grants have been given to different states. But we have not been able to make laws in this regard. If we are to do otherwise, it means we have to amend that aspect of the constitution,” he explained.

Manchester United midfielder Herrera called into Spain squad
MADRID (AP) — Spain coach Julen Lopetegui is adding Manchester United
midfielder Ander Herrera to his squad for World Cup qualifiers against
Italy and Albania.
The 27-year-old Herrera will be making his debut with the Spanish national team.
Bayern Munich's Javi Martinez was ruled out because of a muscle injury in his left leg.
Spain plays against Italy in Turin on Thursday and Albania three days later.
Spain will be seeking to avenge a loss to Italy at the European Championship that ended its bid for a third consecutive continental title.
The 2-0 loss to Italy at Euro 2016 marked the end of Vicente del Bosque's long and successful stint as Spain's manager. Lopetegui has since been tasked with rejuvenating a team that won the 2010 World Cup and 2008 and 2012 European Championships.

Ciara Covers #Legend Magazine: Talks New Album, Wedding, & Modeling
Ciara does it all.
The multi-faceted star struts her stuff in the October issue of #legend magazine. In the photos, shot by Dennis Leupold, CiCi stuns in a variety of high-fashion looks include a tuxedo dress by Versace, a leopard-and-snakeskin-print Givenchy coat, and a bejeweled crown.
In addition to modeling the season’s hottest looks, Topshop USA’s Brand Ambassador opens about how she’s been able to live out all of her childhood dreams—except for one.
“It’s funny,” says CiCi. “I used to say I would model and act. Those were my two things growing up. It’s funny because I ended up doing it all, plus being an entertainer. But before I had a career as an entertainer, those two were something I was constantly about. Going further back, I thought about becoming a lawyer.”
Although she isn’t a lawyer, Ciara is embarking on a new phase of her career with a new album, a partnership with IMG Models, and a new marriage.
On her new album: “Well, I’m making an album. That’s really exciting, it’s something I’m taking my time on. I want to make sure that I put myself in every part of it, all my creative thoughts, feelings, everything on this album. But I can’t say where I am in the process right now. I don’t want to mark a specific point but what’s important is that it will be something for the fans, whom I’m very grateful for. I’m not at a place where I’m ready to share the creative details because I want it to be special for my fans when I do share it. I want it to be exciting when it’s time for me to share it. I can’t wait for that day to come.”
On current musical taste: “I’m into old-school tunes. I have been loving the Bee Gees. I’ve been loving Diana Ross. I love Bruno Mars, when he sings live, he’s amazing. I go between old school and new, really. It depends on the day. When I feel like an old soul, I love old school but I also do love Drake. Yeah, Bruno Mars and Drake are some of my favorite artists from this generation.”
On her wedding to Russell Wilson: “It was honestly so beautiful and I really felt like I was in a fairy tale. It was everything I hoped for. Everything I could have hoped for, dreamed of, happened on that day. It was memorable. We spent two days with all the people that we love, your family and your close friends. I’m definitely still floating, it’s only three months ago and it’s crazy how time goes by.”
On motherhood: “Motherhood, oh my gosh, it’s one of the best jobs in life. My family, my son and my husband, those are the things that keep me grounded and centred and there’s no better feeling than coming back and seeing him smile after a long day. You put him in a bath, you put him in bed, read a book, those moments are great to end the day and keeps life in perspective because all your child wants from you is love. They don’t care about a lot of the things we care about anyway. Being a mom is part of what motivates me in my every day life.”
On IMG Models partnership: “I’ve been fortunate over the years; I’ve had really cool collaborations and been part of cool campaigns. I’ve been blessed to have friends that I’ve met in the fashion world. It’s been an inspiring adventure. The exciting thing about the partnership with IMG is that I can. The ultimate goal is to do more. As an entertainer, fashion and music go hand in hand. There’s no one better than IMG to do that. I want to pose more in fashion shoots and do more cool fashion partnerships.”
On modeling icons: “I have great respect for models I believe really pave the way: Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Kate Moss. Those women and others in that era were such superstars and they defined what being a model is, what being a superstar model is. I have great respect for those girls because not only are they beautiful but also they are very bold. They’re true businesswomen who found a way to not just walk the runway but to build a brand.”
On her aspirations: “It’s always been my intention to have my own clothing line. That’s one of my goals. It’s all about timing and making sure I have everything set up, but I’ve definitely always had a goal to have my own line and to be successful with it.”

Backstreet Boys Throw a 'Bachelor' Party, Plus More Highlights From iHeartRadio Theater Show
Remember when "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" came out in 1998 and everyone wondered what the Backstreet Boys were back from exactly since the song was on the group's very first U.S. album? Well, maybe they made the song 20 years ago with this exact moment in mind, because it's officially their anthem leading into a much-hyped 2017 residency in Las Vegas.
The Boys promoted their upcoming 18-date residency at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino (tickets on sale now) on Friday night with a nearly hour-long live-streamed concert and Q&A on the Honda Stage at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, California, in front of an intimate crowd of screaming fans. They played "Everybody," of course, plus nine more songs, including some unexpected deep cuts (set list below).
U.S Presidential Poll: Clinton solidifies gains after first debate
WASHINGTON: Democratic White House hopeful Hillary Clinton has firmed
up her lead over rival Donald Trump one week after their bruising first
head-to-head debate, a new poll released Monday showed.
Results from a nationwide poll by Politico and Morning Consult has Clinton surging, with 42 percent support from likely voters compared to 36 percent for Trump in a four-way race.
The result is a four-point climb for Clinton from the previous week's poll, conducted just their showdown at Hofstra University in New York.
Libertarian Gary Johnson was running at nine percent, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at three percent.
A Fox poll released Friday showed Clinton with a five-point lead, 49 percent to 44 percent. But a Los Angeles Times daily tracking poll shows Trump ahead 47 to 42.4 percent.
Morning Consult said Clinton's latest gains were largely among independent voters. Prior to the debate, Trump led Clinton by 12 percentage points. But in the organization's new poll, she narrowed the margin to five points.
But she also made dramatic gains among millennials, young voters Clinton has tried to court in recent months, but has struggled to win over.
Prior to the debate, she led Trump by eight points among voters age 18 to 29. Her lead ballooned to 32 points after it.
Monday's poll shows both major candidates underwater, however, in terms of voter likeability, with 58 percent of likely voters having an unfavorable view of Trump, compared to 54 percent unfavorable for Clinton.

Nigeria@56: Govs, Others Preach Unity, Predict Brighter Future
Despite the gloomy picture of the
Nigerian economy which is in recession with its attendant hardship on
businesses and the citizenry, governors of various Nigerian states were
united in predicting a glorious future as the country marked her 56th
independence anniversary yesterday.
Also, former Vice President, Alhaji
Atiku Abubakar yesterday urged a speedy return of peace to the troubled
North-east region; the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) warned the federal
government against taking any rash decisions concerning the governance
process, while the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) urged the
present administration and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to
put their house in order and deliver democratic gains to the people.
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi
Ambode who spoke through his Deputy, Mrs. Oluranti Adebule at the
Independence Parade held at the Police College Ground in Ikeja said the
fact that the nation has remained united despite visible challenges in
the last 56 years of sovereignty was a lot to be thankful for.
He said the never-say-die spirit of resilience, resourcefulness and
determination that Nigerians display to succeed in all spheres of human
endeavour was well recognised and acknowledged all over the globe,
adding that the nation has great potentials to rank among the most
prosperous countries in the world. In Kaduna State, Governor Nasir
El-Rufai expressed confidence that Nigeria can overcome its present
challenges like it had always done in the past. He said, “We mark this
day in difficult economic circumstances, but we can overcome these as we
did in previous moments of hardship.”
In the same vein, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said the
economic challenges facing the country at the moment would not be
permanent as the policies and plans put together by the current
administration are targeted at her revival.
The governor gave the assurance in his
address at the country’s 56th Independence Anniversary held at the
Heroes Square in Owerri, stressing “this is not the period or time to
discuss the country’s failures but a time to discuss what must be done
to move the nation forward. We are passing through trials at the moment.
But let me remind all of us that great nations of the world once passed
through this stage before getting to their point of greatness. Nigeria
will not be an exemption.”
Speaking at the M.K.O Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, Governor
Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State said Nigerians have weathered a lot of
storm and experiences and have come out stronger and will continue to
come out strong.
He added: “We will use our diversity
which is indeed our strength; it is a testament to our resilience that
we are still standing as a nation.”
Advising Nigerians to remain steadfast, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa
Ibom State advised Nigerians not to despair at the gloomy economic
situation in the country but to checkmate their desire for consumption
of foreign goods in order not to deplete the country’s foreign reserve.
He insisted that a stable economy where justice prevails makes
governance easy and enables the citizens to co-exist in peace.
Addressing thousands of people at the
Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, Kogi State while marking the 56th
independence anniversary, Governor Yahaya Bello said despite
experiencing turbulence, Nigeria remains indivisible as a result of the
resilience of her citizens.
According to him, “These past 56 years
have been very challenging, but there have also been years in which the
Nigerian spirit has proved indomitable.”
In a broadcast to the people of Enugu
State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State said “notwithstanding
the current economic challenges facing us as a nation, we have
sufficient cause to celebrate”, noting that his administration was
committed to delivering on its promises and advancing the frontiers of
development in all sectors of the state’s economy.
In an independence celebration message
at the Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers
State expressed fears that the nation is sinking irreversibly down the
abyss, stressing that only a united front will salvage the country and
set it on the path of growth.
The governor expressed regret that
either by commission or omission the federal government has dragged the
country into its worst economic crisis where Nigerians find it difficult
to feed.
Anambra State Governor, Chef Willie
Obiano, on his part, called on Nigerians to think of what they can do
for Nigeria, rather than what the country can do for them. Obiano while
addressing the people of the state on the occasion of the Independence
Day celebration at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square said heeding that call is the
only way to make Nigeria great again.
Meanwhile, Governor Adams Oshiomhole of
Edo State has asserted that Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable. He said
no amount of sponsored acts of sabotage will lead to the negotiation of
the nation’s unity, adding that no nation in the world is perfect.
Speaking at ceremonies to mark the
nation’s 56th Independence anniversary at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium,
Benin City yesterday, Oshiomhole said: “I am one of those who believe
that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable. The unity of Nigeria cannot
be re-negotiated. It is not whether it is perfect or not perfect. I
know of no nation that is perfect, and our elite must rethink.”
In the same vein, Kano state Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has urged citizens to continue to be resilient, despite some remarkable challenges so as to move the country forward.

Ganduje, while delivering the 56th
independence anniversary speech at the Sani Abacha Stadium yesterday
said Nigeria has greater future by living and working together as a
united entity. He said “our ability to be resilient in the face of
daunting challenges has kept the nation as one since we got independence
since 1960”.
Meanwhile, former Vice President, Alhaji
Atiku Abubakar yesterday called on stakeholders to hasten the return of
total peace in the North-east. Abubakar, who decried the slow pace of
returning complete peace to the North-east, stated that the region has
suffered a lot through the activities of insurgents.
Speaking as the Special Guest at the
twentieth anniversary celebration of Gombe State and Nigeria’s
Independence celebration yesterday, the Turaki Adamawa said more still
needs to be done to rehabilitate the displaced persons of the region.
According to him, “the speed is too slow
and the impact very minimal”, adding that “for peace to be returned to
the region, poverty should be treated as a national emergency.” He
called on all stakeholders to join hands in returning all Internally
Displaced Persons (IDP’s) back to their abode, stressing that it is a
task that is very possible.
Speaking earlier, the Gombe State
Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo said the dreams of the
founding fathers of the State has fully been met following the
tremendous physical and socioeconomic transformation of the States which
began from the first Military Administrator of the States in 1996,
Group Captain Joseph Orji to the current administration in the State.
Speaker of the House of Representatives,
Right Hon. Yakubu Dogara, commended the peaceful gathering of both the
APC as well as the PDP whom he said have exhibited patriotism above
party or any other consideration to come together for the best interest
of the State.
He commended the people of Gombe for
justifying the creation of the State through the many transformations
that the State has witnessed and called on them to be vigilant as a way
of sustaining what has been achieved in the last twenty years.
Also, the Peoples’ Democratic Party
(PDP) has asked the federal government work hard to rediscover the lofty
ideals and visions of the founding fathers of the country.
In a statement issued yesterday by the Acting National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the party said the cooperation and contributions of all citizens are required at this time to move the nation forward from the present precarious situation.

In a congratulatory message to the
Government and people of Nigeria on the attainment of 56 years of
nationhood, the party urged all to continue to work for the unity and
survival of the country.
“We wish to once again urge the APC administration to close ranks with all major stakeholders in the country with a view to bring to bear, the ideals, vision and mission of those who fought for the Independence of our great nation, Nigeria”, the statement noted.

In the same vein as Nigeria celebrated
56th Independence anniversary, the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC)
yesterday warned the federal government against taking hasty and panic
decisions with regards to the economic recession bedevilling the
country.
NLC President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba in his independence message said the President Muhammadu Buhari administration must be discreet in taking decisions that will not spell doom for the country in the future.
NLC President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba in his independence message said the President Muhammadu Buhari administration must be discreet in taking decisions that will not spell doom for the country in the future.
Wabba urged Nigerians to “take a long
and positive view of our country instead of indulging in
self-recrimination and bitterness that hurts the majority of us. We
could have done better, certainly. We have been betrayed, no doubt. But
the time to rebuild is now, for they say, strength comes from rubble. We
must never yield to despondency.”
No plan to build new health centers-Health Minister
The Federal Government has no plan to build new Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Health Minister Prof. Isaac Adewole, has said.
He told The Nation by phone yesterday that there is no truth in a media report that government planned to build 10,000 primary health centres across the country.
He said that on the contrary, government will “revitalize and not build new ones.”
But it will, in doing this, “partner with states to build where the facility has been destroyed or absent.”
“For instance, in Borno State about 60 percent of the PHCs have been destroyed while about 20 percent also suffered the same fate in Yobe and Adamawa states.
“What we intend to do is to revitalize these and make them functional. In some other states, the PHCs are enough and we only need to make that functional and effective.”
The minister said making these primary health centres across the country fully functional will facilitate the attainment of Universal Health Coverage and substantially reduce the pressure on secondary and tertiary health care facilities.
Prof. Adewole added that the inter ministerial committee in charge of this project is chaired by Finance Minister Mrs. Kemi Adeosun.
The Committee is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring a sustainable financing plan for the scheme.
He added that the plan is to move away from the past practices where PHCs are built and not sustainable.
“We don’t just want to put money there and it disappears,” he declared.
He said in spite of the present economic challenges, the health ministry under his watch has developed one of the most ambitious health programmes in Africa under universal health coverage using primary health care as the fulcrum and that the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration has no plans to suspend its commitment to the uplifting of the health sector.
He said so far 110 PHCs across the country have been selected as pilot for the revitalized project and that the inter- ministerial committee will give monthly reports of its finding to the Presidency.
He emphasized that at no time did the federal government or the ministry of health plan to build primary health centres across the country, this he said was the clear responsibility of states and local governments which the federal government does not want to take away from them.
Prof Adewole also said: “In fulfilling the campaign promises of the President, several active strategies have been put in place by the Health Ministry to drastically reduce the maternal and under five mortality rates and that all hands are on deck to change the trajectory and remove Nigeria from the pariah status nation that we have founded ourselves.
“We are committed to eliminating wastes while promoting a culture of accountability and transparency. The war against polio is being fought vigorously and we intend to make Nigeria polio free. We are also committed to placing 500,000 people living with HIV on treatment with support of our partners and will tackle the scourge of TB with renewed vigour. The FMOH will work to reduce the need to Nigerians to travel abroad for medical reasons from 2017.”
He reiterated the commitment of the Buhari Administration the upliftment of the health of all citizens

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as eco-warrior in climate battle
He struggled through the frozen wastes of North America in his Oscar-winning performance in The Revenant.
Now Leonardo DiCaprio is starring in a different role – taking his
powerful new eco-documentary to the White House, in the hope it can help
restart President Obama’s battle against global warming.
It’s an issue of importance to both men. Obama, who appears in the documentary, Before the Flood, is using the last days of his presidency to make environmental protection a central pillar of his legacy. Last month he created the world’s largest ecologically protected area when he expanded Papahānaumokuākea, a marine reserve in his native Hawaii, to encompass more than half a million square miles. He also gave “marine national monument” status to 4,913 sq miles off the New England coast.
Two years ago, DiCaprio – who has raised money for protecting tigers, orangutans and elephants – was designated a UN messenger of peace, with a special focus on climate change.
The White House screening of Before the Flood, which follows DiCaprio as he travels to parts of the world including Greenland, the Pacific islands, Sumatra and industrial regions of China, precedes a global release via National Geographic later this month. DiCaprio and the film’s director, Fisher Stevens, hope to use it in the run-up to next month’s US presidential and Senate elections. They plan to show the film on college campuses and across swing states, including Florida, where Senator Marco Rubio is up for re-election.
“Rubio is a climate change denier, and we want to get these deniers out of Congress, to make them understand the Paris [climate] accords are important and that we need to do more,” Stevens said. The film-makers claim 38 US senators accept money from the energy industry, in effect blocking the passage of environmental legislation.
“These people are not necessarily climate deniers. They’re just in the pockets of the energy industry, even though that’s at the expense of all of us,” said Fisher. “And [Republican presidential candidate] Donald Trump has said he’s going to try to kill the Paris accords if elected.”
Last month DiCaprio told the audience after the film’s world premiere at the Toronto international film festival: “We cannot afford, at this critical moment in time, to have leaders in office that do not believe in the modern science of climate change.”
Before the Flood’s release comes as statistics relating to the health of the planet worsen. Last week the Scripps Institution of Oceanography announced it was safe to conclude that global CO2 levels will not drop below 400 parts per million this year – “or ever again for the indefinite future”. The figure is seen as the point at which global warming becomes irreversible.
DiCaprio and Stevens came up with the idea to make the documentary while in the Galápagos islands with the oceanographer Sylvia Earle. “We were frustrated with our government, and I felt if the media isn’t getting to the population about climate change, maybe Leonardo can,” said Stevens. “So the message is, it’s up to all of us. It’s a simplistic message but it really is.”
Despite the intransigence of US legislators, Obama is using his last months in office to establish his legacy as the most environmentally effective president since Theodore Roosevelt created national parks. In Obama’s reading of the issue, climate change is as much a national security issue as an environmental one.
He tells the film-makers: “In addition to the sadness I’d feel if my kids can never see a glacier the way I did in Alaska, even if you were unsentimental about that, you’ve got to be worried about national security and the capacity of the world order to survive the kinds of strains climate scientists are predicting.”
Sixty-one countries, including China and the US, representing about 48% of global emissions, have adopted the Paris accords. Countries representing at least 55% of emissions have to adopt the accords for them to be ratified.
The film-makers visit Pope Francis in the Vatican, Obama in Washington, political leaders in the Pacific islands of Vanuatu and Kiribati, climate scientists in Greenland and the Indian conservationist Sunita Narain, who explains to DiCaprio that access to energy is as much an issue as climate change for 300 million Indians.
“I’m sorry to say this to you, as an American, but your consumption is really going to put a hole in the planet,” Narain tells DiCaprio. “We need to put the issue of lifestyle and consumption at the centre of climate negotiations. ”
DiCaprio responds that it’s difficult to present to Americans the argument that they need to change their lifestyle. “I would also argue that it’s probably not going to happen,” he says. If the climate crisis is to be solved, it will be because “renewables will become cheaper the more we invest into them, and that will solve the problem”. But Narain shakes her head.
The film-makers have enlisteded Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the pair behind the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, for the soundtrack. They use Hieronymus Bosch’s triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights – which made a strong impression on the young DiCaprio – to frame the progress of humankind’s impact on the planet, from innocence to Bosch’s final panel of darkness and ruin.
How far off are we now, they wonder? “What haunts me is the last panel, with the planet in ruins, charred and blackened skies,” DiCaprio muses. “If this was a movie we could write our way out of this mess, but real life isn’t a movie and we can’t pretend we know how this is going to end.”
He adds: “What we can do is control what we do next, how we live our lives, what we consume – and how we vote, to let our leaders know that we know the truth.”
One passage of the documentary takes place during the filming of The Revenant, when director Alejandro González Iñárritu was forced to move production 9,000 miles from a snow-free Canadian location to Argentina in search of a snowy landscape.

Obasanjo gives FG 3 tips on how to sell Nigeria’s property
Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo is in support of the government’s
plan to sell off some assets to raise much needed funds to get Nigeria
out of the current recession.
Obasanjo also said that the country needs to begin earning more than it spends if it wants to get out of the economic crisis.
Below are three tips the former president gave on how to sell the national assets successfully:
“We must begin to do away with things that we can do without and if we must import them, let them attract very high duties.”
“I do not see why 49 per cent of NNPC cannot be privatized. I think the problem is in the coinage “selling of asset” as if we want to throw out our inheritance. What we are actually doing by that is simply re-organizing.”
“It should however be done transparently and let it actually go public and not to cabals, relations and friends. This is always the fear of Nigerians when issues like this arise.”
Obasanjo made the comments on Tuesday, September 27, at the opening ceremony of the National Council on Finance and Economic Development Conference (NACOFED) in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Kris Jenner, 60, turns heads in a stylish patent leather coat as she holds hands with beau Corey Gamble, 35, during Paris shopping spree
In recent
years, her daughter Kim Kardashian's style profile has risen in such a
way that every trend she wears attracts the eyes of fans and detractors
alike.
But
Kris Jenner, 60, proved she's just as much a fashionista as her famous
daughter when she stepped out on the streets of Paris in stunning style
on Wednesday.
The
Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star, in town for Paris Fashion Week,
was seen shopping at the Hermes flagship boutique while wearing a patent
leather coat as she strolled with boyfriend Corey Gamble, 35.

Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling are starring in a film together, because sometimes the world is perfect
Female
celebrities tend to fall into two camps. There are those who seem to
exist on an entirely different planet to the rest of us, in a glamorous
land of green juices, personal trainers, and perfect hair: think Kim
Kardashian, Beyoncé and Madonna.
And then there are those with whom we secretly believe we could legitimately be best friends, if we could only orchestrate meeting them IRL. Wisdom-filled national treasure Emma Thompson is one; spritely American comedy queen Mindy Kaling is another.
So we let out a cheer of delight when we heard that the pair are set to team up in a new movie.
The film, which has been written by Kaling, revolves around a venerated late-night talk show host (Thompson) whose flagging ratings are turned around when she hires her first female writer (Kaling), Variety reports.
The role of a TV writer shouldn’t be too much of a stretch for Kaling. The fearsomely accomplished comedian served as a writer on the US version of The Office, in which she also starred as Kelly Kapoor. She frequently posts photos on social media from the writers' room at The Mindy Project, the sitcom she created, writes and stars in, which is soon to enter its fifth season.

Braless Kim Kardashian rocks a sheer black top and quirky pinned back locks as she touches down in France with a mass of suitcases for PFW
She's lined up to attend the hottest shows at Paris Fashion Week.
And Kim Kardashian ensured she'd be dressed appropriately for the occasion as she touched down in the French capital on Wednesday with a mass of suitcases.
Sticking
with her new favourite trend of going braless, the 35-year-old reality
star offered a glimpse of her ample assets beneath a sheer black top as
she touched down at Paris–Le Bourget Airport.
Looking
uncharacteristically low-key, the mum-of-two also donned a pair of
Adidas tracksuit bottoms with black furry pool sliders and concealed her
eyes behind oversized shades.
Wearing
her raven coloured locks loose and poker straight, she allowed her
glossy tresses to billow behind her breeze, securing the style with
intricately placed hair grips.
Kanye West Continues Taylor Swift Feud During Nashville Concert
The rapper has been embroiled in a feud
with the Shake It Off singer ever since the release of his track Famous
earlier this year (16). It includes the lyrics, "I feel like me and
Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**ch famous," words
Taylor insisted she never gave her blessing to, but after months of back
and forth, it was revealed Taylor did actually give her permission in
July (16) when his wife Kim released videos of a phone call between
Kanye and Taylor.
Kanye performed at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, in Tennessee, where Taylor and her family moved to aged 14. And on Saturday (24Sep16) and told the audience, "This is why you should always say how you really feel" before launching into the track, which he halted after the infamous line to embark on a rant about the lyrics.
“How you feel about that tonight? I feel like I'm in a movie right now or something," he said. "So many people told me, 'You've gotta take that line off the song. You got to play it safe', but this is what rap music is. This is what art is. Saying how you feel. And this song is how I feel."
In video footage of the rant, fans can be heard chanting "F**k Taylor Swift".
Kanye asked the DJ to "run that s**t back" and he performed the opening again, and according to reports, he performed that section three times in total and let the crowd sing most of the controversial line. He told the crowd, "I need to hear that loud in Nashville... I need to hear that so loud in Nashville."
Taylor moved to New York in 2014 but she still has a home in Nashville. She was spotted dining out at The Waverly Inn in the Big Apple on Tuesday night (27Sep16) with Cara Delevingne, Lorde, Suki Waterhouse and Jack Antonoff.

Music: Britney Spears brings the house down at London’s Apple Music Festival
If the career of Britney Jean Spears has been one of two
halves, bisected by her well-publicised personal struggles a decade ago,
there was every indication when ninth studio album Glory dropped last month that the pop icon might be about to enter a resurgent third phase.
During her headline set at the Apple Music Festival in London last night – Brit’s first UK performance since 2011 – it became clear that the 34 year-old is having more fun than she has done in years as the hysterical crowd (of, it must be said, mostly gay men) at Camden’s Roundhouse lapped up hit-after-hit during a 90-minute show that consisted of eight outfit changes and 25 songs from a career spanning three separate decades.
If that sounds like a lot to take in, it was. It spoke volumes about the strength of Brit’s discography that just 15 minutes after taking to the stage sporting a trademark tousled hair and leotard combo, she had already blasted through mammoth hits ‘Work Bitch’, ‘Womanizer’, ‘Break the Ice’ and the era-defining ‘Piece of Me’. Flanked by a troupe of back-up dancers (including some boys who’ve had us trawling through Instagram ever since) it quickly became apparent that Brit had brought her entire Las Vegas residency show to Camden High Street.
People expecting 90 minutes of live vocals from Britney Spears in 2016 might as well be booking tickets for Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It Tour’, but the Princess of Pop proved she can still perform with the best of them as she threw herself into relentlessly high energy routines that saw her keep step with some of the world’s bet professional dancers for an hour and a half. With the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino set scaled back to fit into the smaller 1700 person capacity Roundhouse venue, the show’s only notable set change was the absence of ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’, and its accompanying bucking bronco guitar set piece.
Harking back to her ’90s ingénue days in an all-white number and ponytail, Britney was in was full-on Sin City performance mode as she treated fans to classics like ‘…Baby One More Time’, ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’ and even 2003’s underrated ‘Me Against the Music’, which saw the audience practically screaming along to every word to Madonna’s featured verse. As well as a crowd-pleasing dance breakdown to some of Missy Elliot’s greatest hits, Brit proved she was in a playful mood as she addressed the crowd in her signature British accent, asking “Do you guys want to get naughty?” as a member of the crowd was brought on stage to become her (incredibly enthusiastic) b*itch for Blackout’s ‘Freakshow’.
Glory might have become Britney’s most critically-acclaimed album in a decade, but sadly its presence was limited to just two tracks; sultry, ethereal new single ‘Make Me’ and the madcap ‘Do You Wanna Come Over?’ The cheers the latter’s opening drew from the crowd, however, indicated that a chance to showcase more new material to the tens of thousands watching worldwide might have been missed.
That hardly mattered though as Spears made her way through fan favourite numbers like ‘Do Somethin” and ‘Circus’, and while there was a brief nail-biting moment as a dancer missed a cue for a backflip during In the Zone deep-cut ‘Touch of My Hand’, forcing Brit to abort the move altogether, she recovered immediately recovered with the barely noticeable breeze of a life-long performer.
While other big name ’90s and early noughties stars have fallen by the wayside – or turned their hand to chair-spinning reality TV stints – Britney has always possessed the je ne sais quoi that turns stars into icons. The extensive roster of celebrity fans in attendance, including Rita Ora, Sam Smith and Nick Grimshaw, proved that almost 20 years into her career, Britney remains one of the biggest draws in entertainment. As she launched into a lethal final act consisting of ‘Toxic’, ‘Stronger’, ‘(You Drive Me) Crazy’ and the euphoric ‘Till the World Ends’ one thing became clear: Britney’s about more than just music – she’s about moments.
