Last night it was alleged that popstar Taylor, 26, has parted ways with the 35-year-old Brit because he wanted to make their relationship even more public.
Piers, 51, has been cynical of the couple from the outset, but it was Taylor who bore the brunt of his rant on Good Morning Britain today.
"I feel sorry for Tom," he told Richard Arnold and Susanna Reid. "He's a brilliant actor.
"He got caught up in the flush of it and I think she's carved him up."

It has been claimed that the Emmy Awards proved to be the final straw for the so-called Hiddleswift partnership, with Tom allegedly keen for them to have made their red carpet debut at the bash.
"She's made him look ridiculous," Piers added. "She refuses to be a proper girlfriend and attend an event with him."
